KQualiti (previously known as Quality) birth name Shakir Christopher Campbell, is a Jamaican Dancehall / Reggae artiste born in Kingston, Jamaica. He grew up in the area off Red Hills Road, where he now resides with his siblings. KQualiti attended St.Richard’s Primary School and Pembroke Hall High.
After leaving Pembroke Hall he attended the Leap Center, a Heart Trust Training Institute, where he studied music. At Leap, he was the lead singer of the Leap band. He also plays the drums. The biggest influences in his career have been his family and friends who have supported him throughout his musical journey.
KQualiti recorded his first song at the age of 13. When he graduated from the Leap Center, he initially worked in construction and after that with the Telephone Company and the Power Service Company. While working with the Telephone Company, he recorded with the Sekimhaj Record Label for 4 years and released several singles produced by Michael Reynolds including “Chump Change”, “Lavish”, “Stronger”, and “Golden Touch”.
KQualiti is now working with Stacks ‘n’ Brixxx Entertainment (USA) and Blacker Dread Music (UK) with whom he is in the process of recording an album.
KQualiti is yet to perform overseas but has performed throughout Jamaica with the likes of veteran artistes Sanchez and Flourgon.
